THE FIRST DAY FIT
Remember the first day of school??? Spending your last few days of summer putting together that first-day fit and the number one priority was new shoes. You had to start the school year off with a fresh pair of kicks. Let's face it, this was the one day of the year where you had to be at peak fr3shness or it could have been a wrap on your year. This one day could set the tone for the rest of the year as far as your social status was concerned. Have you ever not been fr3sh on the first day of school at any point when you picked out your own clothes b/c your shoes just weren't fr3sh enough?? (we know it's some questionable get ups that got Mama's fingerprints all over it but we excluding those b/c we can't dime out Moms)

While at work yesterday, I was talkin to 1 of the hosts during his break. during one of our convos, he began tellin us the FUNNIEST story I ever heard....like 2 hear it..here it go: A while back he dated this ugly ass girl. He claimed that the only reason y he was dating such an ugly chick is because "she could suck the chrome off a truck". He never took her out in the city and never introduced her to his friends... And when they did go out, it would only be in Gary, IN. so one day, while they were out she asked him, "why do you always take me to Gary?" and he was like "THEY HAVE THE BEST RESTURANTS....."...the sad thing is...she believed it.........and she believed him... All this got me to thinkin.... do men really date ugly chicks just because of their assets or what they can do? And if so, why the hell is that?!?!?

BRAGGING RIGHTS
So as I sit here and reflect on somethings.. This came to mind... how many of you pick a person to be in a relationship with for what I call "bragging rights". Now don't get me wrong, we all want to be with someone who's worthy... but how many of you are guilty of being with a person just for the fact of being able to say "yeah that's me". Wanting someone you know other people want just so folks will be jealous or envy you? People get off on that type of excitement. I can't front, I have done it before, and I'm sure it has been done to me cause I'm that dude... but that's another blog! Lol. But seriously be dead honest with your comments... who has or is doing this right now?

Basically, DMX had to show up at court a few days ago and when he did, he did the unthinkable. He busted out a freestyle rap, according to reports. HOW DO YALL FEEL ABOUT...
Mariah Carey...Lemme just say that I can not stand this "chick"!!! (and believe me I wanted to use a word that rhymed with chick right there). I got 3 gripes that I can openly talk about to express my dislike for her. First, why do all of her songs sound the same??? I just so happened to be in the crossfire this weekend while somebody was listening to the E=MC2 album and that shit sucks like nothing has ever sucked before!! JD on damn near every song (Mr. "Ya'll know what this is"). Apparently, we don't JD... (I hope yall feelin the sarcasm) Secondly, she sing every song with the same melody that she did when she did the "Breakdown" joint with Bone thugs-n-harmony back in 97 (her last song I fux with). And who the hell told her that her falsettos is that deal??? Third, does anybody black like you?? I mean any real "black people"... I know real black folks used to eff with Mariah back in the day, like early 90s but now... she can kick molten lava hot rocks!!! And oh yeah, she married Nick Cannon...

NATE'S KNOWLEDGE
Everyone has crowned our president and given him the keys to the white house. We have all said OK.. go... Make miracles. Change hundreds of years of systemic racism, prejudice, ignorance and struggle. Go out there and make black folk turn around the self hatred that has further crippled us. GO!! But has anyone evaluated the fact that we may not be ready ? We expect this man to come wave a wand, and the second he does something that looks like he choosing the wrong side, black folks are gonna crucify that man. Are we able to allow him to grow as a leader without completely doubting his "loyalty"? After all, he did pledge an oath to this country not to black America. Did you ever think about all the knowledge and burdens he will be faced with on the first day? The secrets that have only been known by 48 other men? Just because he might make things better don't make him Christ. It Just means currently he is the best option. As long as he makes a difference that's positive that good. He cant be everything to everyone and he is human. Lets remember that.

Why do women feel the need to address women that their man knows as bitches, hoes and groupies?? I don't get it at all... Just b/c YOU don't know the girl, she gotta be all that?? She could genuinely be a friend and the guy may have known her for 10 years but as soon as she is addressed by the woman she gotta be a "hoe". Do you feel threatened by somebody you don't know? OK folks. I usually blog about things that i feel you should know or pay attention to but i usually try to keep politics and religion out of the equation. Everybody has their own opinion, views, and beliefs so i try to be mindful of that and chill. I but i have to say something about one of the most historic weeks and months we will ever live to see. That's right!!! I'M FINALLY going to get my balls botoxed! YES!! Just joking though. Seriously now, we will have the the first black president. And they are trying to break that dude. They called him everything they could think of. They played on America's fear of Muslims and said he was a Taliban, they played on America's fear of a Jesse Sharpton ( i am personally scared of them two myself, i was actually starting to respect Jesse and said the dumb shit about Obama lst week) and brought out that genius and scholarly rev. Wright who is like the crazy uncle who tells the truth but is so blunt and over the top he gets tagged nuts. They had a t shirt made with Obama face on a monkeys body, and now the new yorker magazine had a caricature of him and his wife as terrorists or something. He ain't even stepped foot in the office yet people and they are trying everything they can think of to make sure he doesn't. I'm glad that what God has planned for you, or what is already predestined for you, man can NOT take away. Its a strong man and woman that takes this abuse and still not cracks. I had a female friend tell me that she hated when her guy played video games b/c he never paid attention to her and when she came over to chill that's all he did. So she was convinced that video games were the devil. I personally, think she didn't have a reason to complain b/c I see it as video games keep men out of trouble. If he is at home spending his time playing video games (on his 40" LCD screen like me, lol) then he can't be out in the streets chasing after that yaunderstandme...
