HALLOWEEN... FACT OR FICTION
Halloween is just around the corner and many are looking for a fly costumre or where the hot spot will be to partake in a night of fun and pretend. But what about those not so pretend moments and encounters with ghosts and spirits? A lot of people don't believe in ghosts and say that experiences that people have with spirits are "in the mind"...So what do you think? Are ghosts real or fake? And have you ever had a not so fun run in?

I def believe that spirits are among us! I don't necessarily believe in the zodiac and horscopes and all that, but I am a water sign and have had multiple encounters in my lifetime. I had a spirit in a couple apartments I've lived at when I was at U of I. I know you're going to think I'm crazy, but I actually started talking to one of them and felt less creeped out, I think because they realized I wasn't scared anymore.
There are too many "unexplained" occurrences to not be real.
I'VE HAD SEVERAL ENCOUNTERS W/ SPIRITS... IT'S ALWAYS A FAMILY MEMBER THAT PASSED AWAY. YOU WILL PROB THINK IM NUTS BUT THIS HAPPENED NOT TOO LONG AGO.
I WAS TAKING A NAP. FOR SOME REASON I COULD'T WAKE UP EVEN THOUGH I FELT SOMEONE IN THE ROOM W/ ME & THEY TOUCHED MY FOREHEAD. I JUST FIGURED IT WAS MY MOM CAUSE I WAS SICK. SO I AKED HER ABOUT IT LATER AND SHE WAS LIKE IT WASN'T HER... EVERY YEAR AROUND MY GRANDMOTHER'S BIRTHDAY SHE COMES TO VISIT... THIS IS NO JOKE. THE FIRST TIME I SAW HER, SHE WAS IN ALL WHITE AND IT FREAKED ME OUT SO BAD!!! I REALIZED ITS MY GRANDMOTHER, SHE WOULD NEVER HARM ME. SO I JUST GOT USED TO HER VISITING. EVERY YEAR IT NEVER FAILS SHE COME TO VISIT!!! EVEN WHEN SHE DIED STRANGE THINGS WERE HAPPENING IN MY HOUSE. THAT ISN'T THE ONLY ENCOUNTER SO I MOS DEF BELIEVE IN SPIRITS.

I also believe the spirits are among us as well. I was sitting on my couch one day and the tape deck and the CD door on my "old" radio opened by themselves! spooked me out!!!... The flowers on top of my moms ashes fell off one day! spooked me out!!! and no it wasnt in my mind, I know what I saw, so yes I believe they are real, I was always told to not be scared of spirits (dead), their tryin to tell you something(good/bad), but be scared of the living!!!!! these folks are CRAZY :-/

It is always good to know that I am not alone. Sometimes the "do you believe in ghosts" convo comes up and ppl think I'm nuts! Thanks mi$$ j and plan ~b~!
And Al, you are crazy. It was a he though, or at least it felt like a masculine presence. I don't know what he was on. Everytime I would leave out of my apt., I would tell him to keep an eye on the place! Ha Ha!

Yeah I would have to say I believe in ghosts. I've seen numerous spirits before. But one story that always freaks me out is in my homeboy's old apartments, is was suspected an old white man died in the apartment. So his mom had these candy dishes and we went in them like all the time... so I reached in there and there was this photo.. We thought it was odd, but didn't think much, then we threw the pic out. A week or so later my man Fred goes in the dish and there the pic was again.. Same photo, not a copy.. Then we really were tweaking so we burned it... then a lil while later my boy found the same pic under his pillow... true story!
Ok Mark, now Im scared!!! that was CREEPY!!!
