I, Pennjamin Bannekar have just decided that I think Solange Knowles is tryna seduce me and I just wanted to put everybody on notice that "I'm goin"... That is all.
But seriously though, how do yall feel about Solange?? I'm in love with her "I Decided" song, the video is cool, and when I heard "Fuck the Industry (Signed Sincerely)" I was feelin her whole "take me as I am" kind of attitude. It's almost like I don't want to call her Beyonce's sister anymore as she is beginning to stand on her own. What yall think?

I'm sorry, but I have mixed emotions about Solange. I appreciate the fact that she's tryina be her own person and make a sound for herself... such as mixing 60's music with R&B... and I DO dig this 'Fuck the Industry (Signed Sincerely)' joint... HOWEVER...
SHE WILL ALWAYS BE BABY BEYONCE.
Shit, she's Beyonce's sister and those are some big ass shoes to fill... and fall head-first down some stairs in! She wont completely be know as SOLANGE until B is no longer in the game. Real talk.
I Decided is my ish... Not to mention I think it was produced by the Neptunes. I like Solange, and its good she's different but she was always different. Hell she wrote most of Destiny's Child songs people been sleeping on Solange, but she still has a long way to go!!!
I'm over here watchin everything on youtube on her and researching her on wikipedia. I saw in one interview she said she wasn't really wanting to be a solo act etc but she was writing a lot of songs that fit her. So it's like she wasn't tryna be Beyonce or follow in her path and I can respect that.
At the end of the day, I only fux with her cause she B lil' sister...It's like livin on the same block with a bad ass chic, she got a lil' sis thats gon look just like her when she grow up...if you cant have the real thing, then you'll settle for the lil' sister! Until Solange play "Hov" and(Show me what u got) under them big ass Jody Whatley dresses I can't give her my full fanship! I need to see some ASS before I jump on the bandwagon...Honestly, none of these new female singers can stand up against the females singers of yester-year...so they got to have extra shit (big asses, sex appeal) and good looks to get global status!
I am really feeling Solange right now and will be buying the album. BUT, she def would not be getting shine like she is if she was not Beyonce's little sis. I mean, if I were Beyonce's little sis, Jay betta had been gave me the contract!
Solange does have talent, and she has the looks and the attitude, but time will tell. Beyonce is a meagstar. Sorry to say, but we see what happened to Kelly without Beyonce. And Michelle did a little better than that. Let's see if Solange can get to platinum status. In the meantime, I'm rooting for her!

I know I am late with my comment...but I always thought Solange had talent. I'm glad that people are beginning to recognize that. I heard of view songs from the upcoming album and I can't wait for i to come up. I am a huge Beyonce fan, but I think Solange is on different level from B. She is about to show out with this new album!!!
