Lemme just say that I can not stand this "chick"!!! (and believe me I wanted to use a word that rhymed with chick right there). I got 3 gripes that I can openly talk about to express my dislike for her. First, why do all of her songs sound the same??? I just so happened to be in the crossfire this weekend while somebody was listening to the E=MC2 album and that shit sucks like nothing has ever sucked before!! JD on damn near every song (Mr. "Ya'll know what this is"). Apparently, we don't JD... (I hope yall feelin the sarcasm) Secondly, she sing every song with the same melody that she did when she did the "Breakdown" joint with Bone thugs-n-harmony back in 97 (her last song I fux with). And who the hell told her that her falsettos is that deal??? Third, does anybody black like you?? I mean any real "black people"... I know real black folks used to eff with Mariah back in the day, like early 90s but now... she can kick molten lava hot rocks!!! And oh yeah, she married Nick Cannon...
SO WOULD ANY CURRENT DAY MARIAH FANS PLEASE STAND UP???

I wrote the post... I aint gon say I hate her but I strongly dislike this "lady". I dislike her image, her music, and her fake I'm the shit swag. That's all I can say

I'm glad you said it Penn, cause when I say it folks think I'm hating. My main pet peeve with her is she doesn't know her age. No one over the age of 25 should ever have their stomach out unless they're at the beach. She dresses like a cabbage patch kid. HATE IT!
OK, I'll admit it. I used to like Mariah Carey. Back in the early 90’s, when she first came out, I thought she was hot. I was a shorty tho; I was prolly in the 4th or 5th grade. I thought - and to a certain extent, still think - that Mariah Carey has a good voice. Her voice hasn't changed, but a lot of other things have, and that's why I feel the way I do about her.
Any of you that listened to the radio a lot in the '90s remember that Mariah's style was a lot different when she first came out. After she dumped Tommy Mottola, she went from singing Whitney Houston-type songs to standard pop ish like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, or boy bands sing. I think that’s where she effed up. Off the bat, that type of music is garbage. For another, it doesn't set her apart from any other artists. Now that she sounds like everyone else, she's lost her appeal. And that brings me to my third point, that this change in style is alienating her old fans (Black People) mostly. Since Mariah is now a Britney Spears sound-alike, I aint feeling her. This sort of music is obviously way below what she's capable of doing. Her old fans (Black People) know that. Too bad her new fans probably won't.
In other words... she's wack! Lol
...yeah Mariah's definitely WACK now! I cringe a little every time I hear her on the radio. ugh! lol All her songs sound the same, she's looked the same for about 8yrs now, and she's not even a good performer. She sounds horrible live until she hits those ridiculously hight notes...horrible!!
Plus she aint got no ASS! I hate when older artist try to "re-invent" themselves instead of staying true to themselves as artist...thats a big reason why she suck! "Vision of Love" was the shit! How can you go from that to the bubble gum shit she doin know? Oh yeah, that Nick Cannon deal took my dislike for her to anotha solar system!!! Plus she got a flat ASS!!!

I don't think this is a black or white thing. I know for sure, white people probably loved her before she dropped the emancipation of Mimi. That wasn't quite pop-ish enough. It was much more regular wack R&B. (Don't trip, I purchased it and I think it got me through a break-up), but it's not anything I'm going to make sure my kids listen to (In 10-15 years... when I have kids).
MAN LOOK. Ok all here songs sound the same cause she got so use to one style and one way of makin music thats how it came out. In theory she just not that good as far as REAL MUSIC goes, im talkin about her knowing the theory of music and how to make changes so it all wont sound the same. And it don't just make her look bad, but a lot of the people around her that should be real and tell her "look bitch you last bunch of albums all sound the same".
And the last thing in the world was the nick cannon shit.. If that makes her happy then congrau-fuckin-lations.

The majority of our students can't? Why? Because they were never exposed to it. The fundamentals are no longer stressed.
Are we trying to win a trophy or experience those precious moments of beauty that occur when every individual finds their place in the whole?
