LIL WAYNE HATE???

So... there are a lot of people who think that I hate on Lil Weezy cause I'm a rapper myself... in all actuality... I don't hate Lil Wayne... my opinion is he is not a GREAT artist in my eyes. I mean he rocks some stuff.. But that aint good enough to be considered great! I mean lets be real... when in life has this guy put out a classic album? Don't worry I'll wait.... even more so.. What the fuck does he be rappin about? Don't worry, I'll wait.... when is he gonna stop this whining on records with the voicebox on? Don't worry I'll wait.... this lil nigga aint consistent enough to be a great!!! And to take it even further... to be considered a GREAT in anything... you have to carry yourself a certain way... in a certain light... and he does not do that. I mean the drug abuse alone... what type of Role Model are you being? Oh and yes... rappers are Role Models.. The dude even had the audacity to say in a magazine speak to him like you would Malcolm X or Dr. Martin Luther THE Kang! WTF nigga are you serious? This man does interviews talkin about how if he beefs with someone he would kills their kids? WTF!!! And this is a boy not a man that yall respect and regard as the "greatest rapper alive"? FUCK NO!!!! Kissing grown men in the mouth, calling a man daddy that didn't father you? Please... his pops didn't die til he was 13... tell Wayne to keep syrup out his cup, cocaine out of his nose, and Baby's tongue out his mouth then maybe he can make sense when he raps... until then find somebody else to call "the greatest rapper alive" like Andre 3000!!

OK, so I am a Lil Wayne fan. He is arrogant, raps about the same things, isn't really that profound, and all of the above of what was stated before. BUT! He is the hottest rapper, aside from PF3, out right now. You can't turn on the radio without hearing him. Him and his daddy built an empire and are motherf*ckin rich! He does have a few influential songs. The thing that's great about him is that he isn't afraid to say anything...He says a lot of off the wall/vulgar/addict type of things, but his flow is ridiculous. His word play is ridiculous. No, he is not the greatest rapper, not even the greatest rapper right now. But you gotta give him some props...

I honestly can't give him too many props... and I'll leave it at this one simple question... what has Wayne done for HIP HOP????? Don't worry, I'll wait... amd rich? homie was in danger of gettin his Bentley repo'd! LOL

Wayne got flow and I'll admit that but dude is oversaturating the market right now. Are you not sick of Wayne on every remix or every song?? (He did fuck off Love in the Club pt 2) Secondly, other than flow Wayne don't have too much content I can relate to so I lean towards other rappers as inspirations. Carter I I was feelin Wayne but after all the mixtapes and remixes he usually gets nothin more than a *yawn* a lot of times

Wayne is only hot because of the word play that he uses. I like the way he raps (like he is lazy) but I think that is because he is high most of the time.He is not a good role model but I am grown so I am not looking for a role model. To be honest parents have to be role models for their children and teach them the difference between right and wrong because these entertainers are not thinking about the fact that the are role models when they are out doing crazy things they are only thinking of themselves it is sad but true. I mean if he feel off the earth I would be like damn no more wayne songs oh well I will listen to 2Pac as usual. I agree with you Breeze he is not the best rapper alive but I have to give him some props with the word play.

Penn I am not sick of Wayne on the remixes but I am sick of Kels on every remix.

No, Wayne is not the greatest rapper alive or out right now (and he never will be) ... But all biases aside, if you really sit down and listen to Wayne's songs, he is saying some hot stuff ... the "Mr. Carter" song on the Carter 3 with Jay is banana's. You can't say a rapper isn't hot becuase he's on everything ... Maybe he is on everything cause he is hot?

Its all for opinions sake, but Wayne is Top 5 right now!

Marky Breeze June 4, 2008 at 11:34 AM

The Mr. Carter record is great... beacuse of the track and the murderous verse Hov delivered... not Wayne... Top 5??? Top... nah!!!

1. Jay
2. Andre 3000
3. Kanye West
4. Scarface
5. I hear Eminem is in the studio

Shyyyyyt... 4. Chi-Leak 5. Penn

I'd pick ross over Wayne!

One thing I can say about he Weezy is that he doesn't conform. Hip hop spawned and remains popular for being against the grain. True, Weezy hasn't progressed in the "leaps and bounds" fashion, but he did start the whole "bling bling era". He's not a Lupe or Kanye or but he has been around for a while and I can't see him leaving anytime soon.

And just because I gotta stick up for him, the Bentley repo thing could've been his accountants fault! Lol

Marky Breeze June 4, 2008 at 11:43 AM

He may not go anywhere Rach... but his fans will!!! Hell Hammer ain't go nowhere, he still around... but his fans left... thus... Career change..
"do you want fries with that?"

Denise, we just had the discussion about Wayne being on more songs on the radio than R.Kelly the other day. So how can you not say Wayne is not on (what seems like) everything??

Yeah Wayne can't be in my top 5 either. Wayne prolly aint in the Top 7 or 8 right now if you really break it down. I'll just add to Breeze's list to save time.

1. Jay
2. Andre 3000
3. Kanye West
4. Scarface
5. I hear Eminem is in the studio
6. Common
7. Lupe Fiasco

Hell, Big Boi from Outkast is better than Wayne but he gets overshadowed cuz he is in a group with one of the best rappers of all time. I'm not sayin Wayne isn't hot b/c he is on everything... my statement is about him being on everything so much that it's not a shock or a suprise when you hear him. What ever happened to the days when ppl was thirsty for your CD to drop, or thirsty for a verse from a particular artist?? Wayne don't have that cuz he is on everything and some of the verses are pure foolery.

Marky Breeze June 4, 2008 at 12:14 PM

CORRECTION PENN.... MOST VERSES ARE PURE FOOLERY!!! LOL

Denise June 4, 2008 at 12:26 PM

Yeah Penn Wayne is on most remixes but I like them. So I ain't tripping about him being on them. I would be tired of him if I did not like what I heard.
