After seeing Souljah Boy's reply and even before I was starting to gain respect for him because I took myself out of "the hater" position... yes I was a S.B. Hater. But then I realized something... people are crediting him with killing hip hop... that's some bullshit!!! He's actually one of the truest forms of the word hip hop. Hip hop is the way you express your life... most people forgte he is only 17 and he made the superman song when he was 15... that's shit that teens do all the time... make dances and say dimb shit... we all did it in our teenage years. Furthermore... doing a timeline, most kids catch on to hip hop about 11 or 12 yrs old, so when he caught it, it was the Lil Jon crunk era... he didn't get the great years of hip hop we got. So how good do you expect him to be? And then like he said... all these folks saying he is killing hip hop aint doing a damn thing to save it. Just talking. And yes, the lil dude should be congradualted for getting that $! Cause at the end... no matter who you are... you want that check... Ice-T lost on this one, and in turn lost my respect!!!
It's a toss up to me b/c I think if SB woulda just responded with his main point rather than tryna crack jokes ("old ass nigga") in addition to tryin to make his point I think a lot more people would have sided with SB. I think Ice T got his point of view across better but all them jokes he was tryna crack made him seem immature at times. I know he 17 but if you gon come at a Vet I think you gotta come more correct than he did...
But then too... think about us... we would've cracked mad jokes too... and as far as coming at a VET... after Ice-T or "Lemonade" lmao... told a 17 yr old kid eat a dick??? All respect for him being a VET was out the door... he was just another Old Ass Niiiiiiiiiggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! As Thugnificent would say!
Frankly, Ice-T was pretty wack in his day too! I understand where both of them are comin from, I think that "Superman" shit is wack, but I aint gon hate on the lil' dude cuz he expressn his self to his generation, and they fux with it...Ice-T was out of pocket for comn at the lil' dude like that, a lot of industry ppl think he wack, but let him eat, his star gon fizzle out...when we was shorties we thought Kris Kross and A.B.C was runnin shit!!!
